It occurs to me..
That I don't actually have a solid handle on how persistent scenes work in unity..
Anyway.. I did a bunch of work last night that helped me feel like I was learning a lot.. and I think that was very worthwhile.. though.. not exactly impressive.. I have things on the panel.. it's a rough mockup of how I want the weapons to look.. and where I want the inventory and equipped items to sit on screen..
But... from looking at other work that I am trying to emulate in part... this is of course going to have to come out of it.. and soon..
I guess the next parts I will really have to understand is how to attach the ai scripts to enemies.. then prefab them.. then create a spawning method.. and also how to create a simple damage script that outputs to the log.. and then eventually to both the panel elements and of course.. the ability to kill whatever has been spawned..
anyway.. I think the background music now loops.. and.. to be honest.. how I put it into the game sounds spooky as heck so I guess that's cool..
